Hello, I have the equation "x^2 - 6x + 12 = 0" I used the quadratic formula and as a result, I get 3. Now when I insert 3 into the equation I don't get 0 as a result. Am I missing something?

Most likely, you made an error in your application of the quadratic formula. Without seeing your work, we can't tell you where the error is though. :)

(6+-root(6^2-4*1*12))/2 -> As a result I get 3. When I insert it into the equation 3^2-6*3+12 I get 3 as a result, shouldn't it be 0 ?

The discriminant is negative, so you should get 2 complex conjugate roots. :)
