Hi guys :)

I have the following formula, but don't know how to make X the syubject.

(X/1.07 x 0.485) - (X x 0.3) - Y = Z

I got as fas as this (hardly impressive, I know):

(X/1.07 x 0.485) - (X x 0.3) = Z +Y

Is there a genius out there who can help me???

Thank you,

Danny

Now calculate:

0.485/1.07 = ?

The key idea will be to simplify the equation, combining like terms. (You can also think of this as factoring out the X.) Then X will only appear in one place, and the problem should look more familiar to you.
