what are the coordinates of the image of the point at (-3,-5) after a reflection over the y-axis
i came up with this answer: (3,-5)
i did not use a formula though-i just thought it out
what is the right answer
a reflection is the flip of a figure over a line to produce a mirror immage

Yes. Taking a point which is three units to the left of the y-axis and flipping it over the y-axis will indeed put it at the same height (y = -5) but three units to the right of the y-axis.
