The length of the path of the projectile is approximatley 392 ft. If a bug walks along the line 4y=3x from x=4 feet to x=64 feet, how much farther did the projectile travel than the bug?

I did this but I don't think it's right! Any comments would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!:)

4y=3x
y=3x/4
y(4)=3
y(64)=48
392-48=344 So the projectile went 344ft farther than the bug

I suppose I am interpreting correctly. You can use Pythagoras to find the length the bug travels along the line from x=4 to x=64.

\(\displaystyle \L\\y=\frac{3x}{4}\)

\(\displaystyle \L\\\sqrt{(64-4)^{2}+(48-3)^{2}}\)
