i'm new in this forum and this is my first post i hope that you could help me
n*[-a*ln (1+(y/(a-X)))+y]=m*[b*ln (1+(y/(b-X)))+y]

the only unknown is X how can i found it :???: ?
this is not a math exercise i'm trying to resolve a mechanical problem and i arrived to a similar equation and now i'm stuck i hope that you can help .

Please be careful about what you are posting - review your thread after posting and correct it.

You are trying to solve for "X" - but you do not have "X" in your equation . You have "x".

Anyway beyond that:
