Need some step by step help to theese SAT practice questions. Any help is greatly appreciated.

1. During a game, the blue team scored one-sixth of its points in the 1st quarter, one-fourth in the 2nd quarter, one-third in the 3rd quarter, and the remaining points in the 4th quarter. If its total score was 36, how many points did the blue team score in the 4th quarter ?

2. in the xy-plane , the equation of line l is y=2x+5. if line m is the reflection of line l in the x-axis , what is the equation of line m?
a) y=-2x-5
b)y=-2x+5
c)y=2x-5
d)y=-1/2x-5
e)y=-1/2x+5

3. If a+2(x+1)= s , what is x+1, in terms of s amd a ?
a) s/2a
b)s-a/2
c)s+a/a
d)s/2-a
e)s/2+a

4. how do you find the square root of a number on a ti-84 calculator ?

1) Subtract the listed fractions from 1 (the whole) and then find this fraction of the total number given.

2) Where are you stuck on this? Or are you needing lessons on graphing, variables, reflections, etc?

3) To learn how to solve linear equations, try here. Then move on to solving literal equations, which is what you are asked to do here.

4) Read your owners manual, or review the keys on the calculator.

Thank you....
and for #2 it does not show a graph or anything. :?

If you reflect a graph over the x-axis, each point (x, y) has the image (x, -y).

For example, if you have the equation
y = x
and reflect the graph over the x-axis, you'll get y = -x

If you have the equation
y = 2x - 3
and reflect the graph over the x-axis, you'll get y = -(2x - 3), or y = -2x + 3

Does this help you spot the correct answer choice?

To learn how to graph linear equations, try here. (The question clearly assumes that you already know.)
