My question is: A number written in scientific notation is doubled Must the exponent of the power of 10 change? explain.

My answer is No the power does not change but I don't know how to explain it can you help?

Number in scientific notation is generally displayed as:

X.YYYYYYY E DD

If X is greater than 4 - then upon doubling the exponent (power of 10) will change. Otherwise it will remain the same.
