By the way, your first instruction above makes sense to me only after I replace the word "down" with the phrase "a definition for". It is impossible for even GOD to write down an infinite list of numbers.

and as far as the question is concerned i have copied from an IGCSE book named "EXTENDED MATHAMATICS FOR CAMBRIDGE IGCSE"

Don't be sorry try something and show us what you have tried! Did you notice that, for (2), 5= 2+ 3, 11= 5+ 6, and 20= 11+ 9? For 3, what different ways are there to go from 1 to 4? multiply by something? Add something? How about from 4 to 20? 20 to 120?
