The problem is to simplify this expression
(x+1) x
_______________ divided by ____________
15xsquared + 3x (10x + 2)

(2) will stand for squared and (3) will stand for cubed

This is what I have so far: (x+1) (10x +2) (x+1) (10x + 2) 2(5x +1)(x+1)
_________ . ________ = ______________ = _____________= ?
15x(2) + 3x x 15x(3) + 3x(2) 15x(3)+3x(2)

It is multiple choice and the answers don't match up to any of these so I am doing something wrong.
 
As you can see, your post is a mess. We cannot use the space key to "draw" fractions at this web site because this site strips out excess spaces.

I could try to guess what the given expression is, but I don't understand what you mean by typing (2) stands for squared and (3) stands for cubed.

I don't see any (2) or (3) in the expression.

Is it the following?

Are you familiar with the rule that says we can change division by a fraction to multiplication by its reciprocal?

A/B divided by C/D is the same as (A/B)(D/C)

This all looks extremely messy when viewed on screen

Do you mean

\(\displaystyle \frac{x+1}{15x^2+3x} \div \frac{x}{10x+2}\)

and you get

\(\displaystyle \frac{x+1}{15x^2+3x} \cdot \frac{10x+2}{x}=\frac{2(5x+1)(x+1)}{15x^3+3x^2}\)

If so, you've got it all ok so far. But you can factorise the denominator some more, and cancel something out, so.....

....don't give up!
