This helps you with the order to simply equations - broadly speaking do the multiplication and division before addition or subtraction. 3 -5/2 * 3 3/2 ---------------- 3 7/2 * 3 -9/2 = 3 -(5/2 * 3 3/2 ) ---------------- (3 7/2 * 3) -9/2 using brackets helps to see what parts to focus on first. now have a go.
