1. What is the slope of the line with the equation 2x+3y+6=0?
2. Which of the following is a simplified expression equal to 9-x^2/x-3 for all x<-3?
3. For all x>0 and y>0, the radical expression square root x/3 square root x- square root y?
4. Point A (-4,1) is in the standard (x,y) coordinate plane. What must be the coordinates of point B so that the line x=2 is the perpendicular bisector of AB?

Thanks so much, I have to take a placement test and these are sample questions and I haven't taken math for 4 years![/list]

1) Solve the equation for "y=" and recall that the slope in the equation "y = mx + b" is the value of "m".

2) "Which of the following"...? And do you mean what you posted, "9 - (x2/x ) - 3 = 9 - x - 3 = 6 - x", or do you mean something more like "(9 - x2) / (x - 3)"?

3) There is no verb in this exercise. What is to be done?

4) Draw the point and the line. For that line to be a perpendicular bisector of another line, what sort of line must that other line be? So where must the point B lie?
