Solve for x (the (), [], and {} are all parentheses, they are only different to avoid confusion):

What is the source of these questions?

I can't see how to solve it exactly.
Also I notice the { } brackets are unnecessary. I wonder is the expression exactly as quoted.

If it's exactly as quoted then there is no solution method other than numerical approximation.

What now is to figure out what interval or intervals might contain a solution if indeed any such intervals exist. This essentially requires first finding the intervals where

[MATH]6x^4 + x^3 - 11x^2 + 32x - 16 > 0.[/MATH]
There is at least one such interval. After you have found those intervals, we can proceed to the next step.
