once again im stuck. the equation reads:

Solve for x: (log(x)/log(3))^2 + (2log(x)/log(3)) +1 =0

Can you say, "Quadratic Equation"?

See if you can solve this one: y^2 + 2y + 1 = 0

After you have done that, stare at your original equation until it soaks in.
