Solve for 9x − 8 ≥ 13
Give your answer as an improper fraction in its simplest form.

please could someone help me and tell me their steps
 
9x is some number or numbers. Just call it y for now. So you have y - 8 > 13. Now think, what numbers when you take away 8 gives you 13 or more. This is what y can be. Well actually what 9x can be. So what can 9x be? What can x be.
