Need two simplified proper fractions that have like denominators that are less than 10. The numerator of one fraction is 3 more than the other numerator. Find two fraction so that the fraction that lies halfway between the two is the greatest possible fraction. What are the two fractions? and What is the fraction halfway between?

The way I read your problem: 2 fractions are 5/9 and 8/9, with halfway fraction being 6.5/9 = 13/18
