I have the answer to this problem from my book. but I have no idea how they got to that conclusion! Please help. The problem is as follows.
The square root of 4aE2 - 4a + 1
The answer that my book has is 2a-1. I know that the square and the square root cancel out, but I still don't understand how the answer was gotten.
