Hi, I'm doing straight line graphs and for some reason I can't understand how to do 12b. If you could help it would really appreciated :))IMG_5506.jpg

There are several ways, so I can't know which will best fit your own experience or style, unless you show an attempt.

But one way is to write an expression for the gradient of BC, and solve an equation that says it is perpendicular to AB.

I like using Pythagoras' theorem for these type problems. In opinion which ever method you decide to use you need to draw a diagram. Please post back with a labeled diagram.

Which of A, B , and C is the vertex with the Right Angle?

12a is a hint for the remainder of the questions. How can that result be useful in solving 12b?

I take it you have done 12a- you have found the gradient of AB. Now find the gradient of BC (it will depend on k). Do you see that AB and BC are perpendicular? What does that tell you about the two gradients?
