Stuck! “Find b so 0=-x2 + bx -8 has one solution.”

Can someone please help with this?

If there is only one solution to the equation 0=-x2 + bx -8 what are the possible values of b?

Thank you so much.

That is a quadratic equation.

What are the solutions of 'x'?

Under what conditions those solutions are equal and become one solution?

You can either use the discriminant, or think about what kind of quadratic, in factored form, has only one solution, and determine what b has to be to make it so.
