x+2y=7
3x+z=7
5y+7z=15
Hi everyone
Can someone help me solve this system of equations, because I don't know how to simplify it

You really need to try something.
Here are the steps to solve a system of three equations in three unknowns.

1) Pick 2 equations and choose one common variables from these two equations.
2) From the two equations from step 1, eliminate the chosen common variable.
3) Using any one of the two equations from step 1 and the unused equation, eliminate the same variable.
4) Step 2 and 3 will leave you with two equations in two unknowns. Do you know how to solve this type of system?

if [MATH]x = 7 - 2y[/MATH]
what can you do for 2nd equation?
I can plug the x to the 2nd equation butI am not getting

I am gonna give it a go and I don't think it's gonna be hard I will let you know if I have any trouble

What answer did you get?
First I want to tell you that in the beginning I have made a mistake while writing it.
In the second equation it is 3x+z=3 and not 7
Anyway i found out the answer and it is x=1,y=3,z=0

Did you check to see if your answer is correct?
