First, thanks for any help.

Okay, so I was doing basic systems such as
1/2x + 3y=-19/4
x+2y=-13/2

however, i them stumbled upon this new problem that i have not yet been taught...

x=5y - 29/3
2x +y=8/3

So what are steps or hints that i should follow?!

edit: oh i think i got it...i need to rewrite so I get the -29/3 on just one side...eh?

so,
-5y +x= -29/3
2x +y=8/3

right?

then just solve etc.

well (picky picky!) should really be "lined up":
x - 5y = -29/3
2x +y = 8/3

And you're right: just solve; 1st step would be multiply each by 3:
3x - 15y = -29
6x + 3y = 8

carry on.....
