In studying introductory level Partial Differential Equations, I have never come across methods for solving systems of linear PDEs (searching reveals a lot of research level papers).
Is the basic tool for solving these matrix algebra, more or less identical to systems of linear ODEs? If not, what basic methods are available for attaining analytic solutions to systems of linear PDEs?
