It could be worse! I remember a colleague showing me an essay turned in by one of his students. In the middle of one page it said "see figure 12.2". Of course there was no figure!

I remember a colleague showing me an essay turned in by one of his students. In the middle of one page it said "see figure 12.2". Of course there was no figure!

Sounds to me like the student's essay was scraped from an online resource, and the student didn't bother to notice that the images hadn't copied over. Ugh! :shock:

(Though it was probably from a book or journal- this was well before 'online resources'!)
