How would you show the number [] multiplied by itself once? :p

Interpretation?
(a) If you have a number x multiplied by itself two times, isn't that
x * x (1 time) * x ( 2 times ) so that
x multiplied by itself 1 time is x * x.

(b) But if you have a number x multiplied by itself two times means
x (1 time) * x (2 times)
or x multiplied by itself 1 time is x.

Of course Ishuda is right (I'm just glad that it wasn't Denis who was right), 1*x is x multiplied by itself one time.
