The price of cube steak varies linearly with the weight of the packaging. If the packaging for cube steak weighed 6 pounds, the price was $7.80. If the packaging only weighed 2 pounds, the price was only $2.60. How much would a 10 pound package of cube steak cost?

Ummm....I like cube steak...country fried with gravy.

Find the price per pound and multiply by 10.

Please don't say, "How do I find the price per pound?".

If your were in the market(assuming you're not vegetarian) buying some meat and the package said it weighed 2 pound and cost $5. What's that per pound?. Do the same thing here. Since the price is linear it goes in a straight line.

Huh? I'll bring my own packaging paper: VERY light paper :idea:

galactus, I finally solved that centuries old question:
Q: why did the chicken cross the street?
A: because the traffic sign changed from "don't walk" to "walk" :idea:

ok i got it
if 2pounds equal 260
add another 2
4 pounds will equal 520
add another 2
6pounds = 780
add 2 pounds
8 pounds = 1040
add 2 more pounds
10 pounds equals $13.00
yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh cool i got it
