Please imagine this physical example:

There is a point in a field whose strength effects this point according to F(s) (the further the point is from the source of the field, the smaller strength effects this point ). My teacher labeled this situation as F(s). Could you please tell me whether I can use this labelling F(s(t))? If so, could you please tell me whether there is a difference between my labeling and my teacher's?

If another explanation is necessary, please let me know to add it.

Please define 't' - in s(t) .
 
t - time, there is not another strength which moves that point, just the strength of that field; therefore, the point's position is changed in the time because of that field.
