I have no idea how to deal with the real and imaginary components of this eq.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Do you know the equation [MATH]e^{i\theta} = \cos\theta + i\sin\theta[/MATH]? Can you see the real and imaginary part?

Do you understand that \(\displaystyle \exp(\theta i)=\cos(\theta)+i\sin(\theta)~?\)
If so, then \(\displaystyle \Re(\exp(\theta i))=\cos(\theta)~\&~\Im(\exp(\theta i))=\sin(\theta)\)
