questions:
"if 80 years on Earth is equal to 6 minutes on Mars, how long would 8 hours on Earth equal on Mars?"

this questions makes my head spin.

i've tried a million times my answers seem unrealistic, i'm not even sure how to go about it. i just start off my converting 80yrs to days to hours to minutes then i'm lost.

my teacher said it was 0.04 seconds, i think it's wrong (seeing as i multipled it didnt work) it just sounds too big of a number..

please help!
thanks.

Since 80 years = 6 min, then 1 year = 6/80 = 3/40 min, or 365(24) hours = 3/40 min.

So 8 hours = (3/40) / [365(24)] * 8 = .0000685.... minutes on Mars = .0000685 * 60 = .004 seconds

I get .004 and you teacher gets .04 : one of us is wrong

thankyou i think you are right because i asked another person and they got .00411 sec :D
