Bc is the base of a triangle. M divides the base in the ratio 1:3. N is north of m. Given that nb +bm = mc + cn. Find nb ? I know the answer is 22, but this value can't represent a hypotenuse . Thanks.

Your description is not adequate.

What is N? A point? If so, is it on the triangle, inside it, outside it?

What is M? A line?

Are B and C vertices?

What does the direction "north" have to do with this exercise?
