I recently posted a smiliar type question, but since that has been answered, I think one of my
main problems was not knowing how to use the windows calculator.

the problem is... solve for c
cos 74 degrees = 7 over c
c = 7 over cos 74 degrees
c (roughly) = 25.40

a= 7
b (roughly) = 24.41
now that i know why the answer is 25.40
i am unclear on how to use the calculator when c is involved.
what buttons do i puncn in to get 25.40
note: it says multiply both sides by c and fivide both
side by cos 74 degrees then simplify.
Thank you for the help
p.s. if anyone knows a link on how to use the windows calculator
in this manner, that would be great.
how to punch in the c in the calculator is boggling me.

Slow down! You're going at 100 mph but your car is on blocks!

Similarly to (your other problem) TAN(73) = 3.2708, COS(74) = .2756;
7 / .2756 = 25.3991 (~25.40)...kapish?

This stuff you're saying:
"it says multiply both sides by c and divide both
side by cos 74 degrees then simplify"
is simply what to do to get from
cos 74 degrees = 7 over c : start showing these the standard way: COS(74) = 7 / c
to
c = 7 over cos 74 degrees
as simple as if a = b/c, then c = b/a

I don't use Windows calculator...so can't help you there...
why don't you invest 10 bucks in a manual calculator ?

Well this calculator works..theres just no manual.
Once again though. Thank you much for the help.
That should be all of my questions.
and if i do have any questions i will show them properly from now on :)
