A bicycle wheel is 30 inches in diameter.

a.To the nearest revolution how many times will the wheel turn if the bicycle is ridden for 3 miles?

I converted the 15 inches (radius of the bicyle wheel) into miles which is 0.00236742mi
I got stumped on what to do next.

Next, work out the circumference of the circle (the wheel). Each time the wheel goes round once, that's the distance traveled.

Then, work out how many times the wheel goes round.

It's possible you will find it easier to work in inches, rather than miles.

I got 201 complete revolutions and .68 of a revolution.
one revolution = pi * 30 = ~94.2 inches
201.68 * 94.2 = ~19,000 inches
19000 / 12 = ~1563 feet
1 mile = 5280 feet
So you're quite short of 3 miles !

Try again.
