1 . Given that a measures 25.1 mm, x measures 51.2 mm and angle b measures 82°, find the length of y

2 .From a point on the ground a person notices that a 110-ft tree on top of a hill subtends an angle of 3°. If the angle of elevation to the bottom of the tree, angle A measures 37°, find the height h of the hill

3 .To measure the height of an inaccessible cliff on the opposite side of a river, a surveyor makes the measurements shown in the figure. If distance d = 202 meters and Ð b = 50.0°, find the height of the cliff.

4 .Given that b measures 4.861 mm and angle b measures 72.9°, determine the depth of cut x. All dimensions are in mm

assistance on any of the 4 would be helpful ..

You're help is much appreciated.

Thanks.

I have been staring at my laptop screen all day looking at questions .. and some type of help to solve questions.
To be honest I have no idea where to start. All of the questions provide diagrams that are very unfamiliar too me, and are probably just making me over think the questions. They probably are not as hard as I am making them seem but I don't know where to start, so any assistance would be appreciated with any of the 4.

Hints:
1) need a figure, Couldnt understand what is the Q
2)From the observation point, angle of elevation to top pt is 37' and to top of tree is 40' (37+3, since angle subtend means the angle the tree is at for the observation point). So let us assume ht of hill to be h. and distance of bottom of the hill to observation pt as x.
So, tan 37=h/x
tan 40=(h+110)/x
Take ratio and solve for h.
3) and 4) Again fig needed.
