What is the solution for the equation 2arccos(x)=arccos(2x-1)
Where are you stuck? You took the cosine of each side, simplified the left-hand side with a double-angle identity, and... then what? What is the solution for the equation 2arccos(x)=arccos(2x-1)
i did multiply both sides by cosine. am i right the left hand side 2{cos[arccos(x)]^2 - 1 then the right hand side is 2x-1Where are you stuck? You took the cosine of each side, simplified the left-hand side with a double-angle identity, and... then what?
Please be complete. Thank you!

Thank you for that.Well, we really do not multiply, but using cosine function we get: 2x2−1=2x−1.
Solve that.
