Hello! Does someone know what that symbol (underlined in red) means?
The pt is the probability of an event happening in period t, the beta is the coefficients and the xt the predictor variables.
Im willing to use it in my bachelor in econ's dissertation but I dont want to write it without fully understanding the eq. Cheers!

The \(\displaystyle \Lambda\) is a "logistic function". What you have posted says "the probability is constructed as a logistic function, namely".

Unfortunately you seem to have cut off the portion after the "namely" which should have explained what that logistic function is!
