It isn't clear what you know, and what you are asking for. (Or why you started the sentence with "and"!)

Do the formulas represent what you were told, or your attempted answer to the problem? Are you asking whether they are true? (If they are, then they are the answer!) Are you asking how to derive them?

We need to know what you are thinking.

(As an aside, it is not a good idea to use texting abbreviations in a question about math, because many of them (u, n) look like variables!)
