Is it divisible by 2?

I think it is fairly obvious that 51 is one of the factors. 51 = 3 • 17

Divide 51,051 by 51, and look for factors of the other number.

Hello, dsunflower!

What is the prime factorization of 51,051?

As fasteddie pointed out, it is clearly divisible by 51.

\(\displaystyle \text{So you have: }\:51,\!051 \;=\;51\times 1001\)

\(\displaystyle \text{If you see that: }\:51 \,=\,3\times 17,\:\text{and }happen\text{ to know that: }1001 \,=\,7\times11\times13\)

. . \(\displaystyle \text{then you have: }\;51,\!051 \;=\;3\times7\times11\times13\times17\)
