2 - 3x over 5 + x over 3 = 4

i did

15 as the denomorator
so then its is

6 - 9x + 5x over 15 = 4

and then

6 - 14x over 15 = 4

now wht?

Perfectly correct so far!

You have

6 - 14x
-------- = 4
   15

Can you see that multplying both sides by 15 will get rid of the fraction? After that, can you rearrange to get it x=...?

P.S: a slash ( / ) can be used to mean "over". Eg. "3 over x" = 3/x.
