I am not understanding this:

Windows are 6 by 9 feet.

a) What is the area of the window in ft ^2 and yd^2?
b) What is the cost of the window if glass cost $3/yd^2?
c) What is the cost of the glass in $/ft^2?

The only part I got was the length L = 6 and the width W=9, which gives me 54ft. Then I get lost.

Yes, L * W = 6 * 9 = 54 square feet or ft ^ 2; not 54ft :!:

6 feet = 2 yards, 9 feet = 3 yards: 2 * 3 = 6 square yards : capish :?:

You ok now :?:
