Find the number whose opposite is six less than two-thirds itself.

I don`t quite understand the problem. Please help. Thank you!

To elaborate on the earlier reply:

1) Pick a variable for "the number".

2) Write an expression, in terms of the variable in (1), for "two-thirds of the number".

3) Write an expression, in terms of (2), for "six less than" (2).

4) Write an expression, in terms of (1), for "the opposite".

5) Set (4) equal to (3).

6) Solve.
