Ok I know to you math tutors these questions are to easy. SO please work with me :D

Piranha fish require 1.5 cubic feet of water per fish to maintain a healthy environment. Find the maximum number of piranhas you could put in a tank measuring 8ft by 3ft by 6ft.

What is the tank's total volume?

How many 1.5's divide into that number?

Please post further algebra and/or geometry problems to the appropriate category. Thank you.

Eliz.

Eliz,

on the volume in the word problem for Piranha's, it does not say what the total volume is, that is all the word problem says.

sorry
lisa

She wanted you to tell her that volume equals length*width*height =
8*3*6 = ???
Then do the division.
