If the fax depreciates by $25 each month, that means the value is decreased by $25 each month.

So, after 1 month, the machine is worth 625 - 25, or
v = 625 - 25(1)
After 2 months the machine is worth 625 - 25(2), or
v = 625 - 25(2)
After 3 months, the machine is worth 625 - 25(3), or
v = 625 - 25(3)
