G Guest Guest Sep 15, 2005 #2 ( 8 , 5) (11, 14) let one set of points be (x1,y1) and the other (x2,y2) ,doesn't matter which. m = (y2-y10/ (x2-x1) this is the slope or gradient y= mx + b is the general form of a striaght line equation. Place the m value and one set of points(any) into this and slove for b Now rewrite the equation using the m and b values and you have the answer.
