The description says "Give an equation in slope-intercept form that satisfies the given information."

1. Crosses the y-axis at -2 and m= -1/2

2. Y-intercept of 2 and m=4

3. b=4 and m=1/3

4. Y-intercept=-1 and slope=0

5. M= 1/2 and y-intercept=-4

6. Slope=-3 and y-intercept=0

Start with the equation of the line:

y = m*x + b

what are 'm' and 'b'?

What is the name of the point where the straight line crosses the y-axis?

2. Y-intercept of 2 and m=4
They've given you the slope and the intercept. Plug them into the equation.

3. b=4 and m=1/3
For which part of the line does "b" stand? Plug this into the equation.

4. Y-intercept=-1 and slope=0
This works just like (2). But you will need to simplify....

5. M= 1/2 and y-intercept=-4
This works just like (2).

6. Slope=-3 and y-intercept=0
This works just like (2). But you will need to simplify.... ;)
