y² = -4x

how to find domain and range of linear functions. I just want to have the basic concept of finding domain and range. such as for these equations:
y² = -4x

x²y = 8

y = 3 - x²

How to solve these questions and find out ranges and domains from it step by step can anyone explain please?

Re: y² = -4x

Can you please help me with these? We're just starting out with relations and I can't understand a thing our teacher taught us :| He was speaking toooo fast. Uh-uh-annoying 8-|

How can I get the domain and range for these?

y = |x+1|

y = ?x^2+4 (all those are under the radical sign)

I need immediate help. Thank you! :)
