Sequences

What is the rule for the sequence of numbers that starts with:
4, 8, 16, 32, 64...
It could be a number of different sequences.
Here is one: an=42n1.\displaystyle a_n=4\cdot 2^{n-1}.

Thanks; we had a lot of discussion about this but no answers that did not involve starting the sequence with a "2".

It could also be:

an = 16n4  n3 +356n2  3n + 4\displaystyle a_n \ = \ \frac{1}{6}n^4 \ - \ n^3 \ + 3\frac{5}{6}n^2 \ - \ 3n \ + \ 4
