Is this for a class? Whoever gave you this problem clearly expects you to know how to deal with quadratic equatons. There are basically three ways to solve quadratic equations: factor, complete the square, or use the quadratic formula. Do you know those?

Solution/s to the equation f(x) =0 are called root/s of that equation.
