Hi, I feel like this is a very simple equation but cant figure it out for some reason, please help.

f(x, y) = xey yex, find f(3, 3)

You are given a formula in x and y. You are given values for x and y. You are asked for the value of the given formula when you plug in the given values for the given variables.

What did you get when you plugged the stated values in for the specified variables in the formula they gave you? Where are you stuck?

When you reply, please explain how this is a "calculus" question, rather than simple plug-n-chug function-evaluation from algebra. (This information, in addition to your work so far, may help explain how you're having difficulties.) Thank you! ;)

Was this because you didn't know what the "f(x, y)" notation meant (that was what staple was answering) or because you do not know how to calculate \(\displaystyle 3e^{-3}+ 3e^3\). If it is the latter, there is no (simple) way to find an exponential by hand- use a calculator.
