Comparison Test vs Limit Comparison

Thanks for your help the last few weeks....

I have a question not sure if it has an definitive answer. I feel comfortable using Comparison Test and Limit Comparison tests, however only when I'm told specifically to use one or the other.
If I have to blindly choose one or the other on an exam, is there a general guideline of choosing one over the other?

You know that there is no definitive answer to your question. Both are comparison tests. I find students can use the basic test quicker because there are fewer rules & conditions to remember. I also find that the more experience students have with series the easier they find the limit form is to use.
