You found it.So the book says "For the function f(x)=1/x where x is not equal to 0. Find f(x+h)"
All Ive managed to do Is key in (x+h) for x, which gives f(x+h)=1/(x+h). I cant find my way to the solution.
Help me please.
I think that you are expecting a number? Only when you compute f( a number) will you possibly get a number. Since x+h is NOT a number, then it follows that f(x+h) will not be a numberSo the book says "For the function f(x)=1/x where x is not equal to 0. Find f(x+h)"
