Consider an isosceles triangle with equal sides of 3. Determine how fast is the area changing at the maximum area, if the angle is increasing at a rate of (pi/6) rad/s.

I am in Grade 12 studying related rates.

This is what I have so far:

A=0.5absin(theta)
A=(9/2)sin(theta)

A'= (9/2) cos(theta) * (pi/6)

What is 'A'?

Which angle is theta? (Isoscales triangles have angles - base angles and those are equal to each other and one vertex angle)

How did you get those two equations - are the expression for same 'A'?
