It might be easy but I guessed the wrong answer. Could anyone explain this, please?

a- 4*10^11
b- 4000
c- 4000^3
d- 4*10^15

The problem is unclear. I suppose you mean 40%, not %40; but do you mean the cube of 10.000? Are you using the dot as a decimal separator or a thousands separator? Neither 10 nor 10 thousand is a cube.

Also, what answer did you guess, and why? Telling us that might have helped us know what the problem means.

40% of x^3 = 10000?
Of course then none of the choices match with the answer.

sorry. your right. It's 40% and ten thousands. Questions is just like that. There wasn't any other information. Thats why I confused. I thought 10000 must be volume of cube and I guessed 40% of 10000 = 4000 but obviously it's not :)
And also tried to find out one lengt of cube which is 21.5 and take 40% of this and calculated , either didnt work :)
Thats why I asked. Thanks

So you are saying that the exact wording of the question was, "What is 40% of a cube which is 10 000?"? That is grammatically meaningless.

If you translated from another language, please show us the original, and/or suggest alternate ways to translate the wording.

Also, how do you know your answer was wrong?

If the problem means what I suggested, "What is 40% of the cube of 10 000?", then it would be 0.40*(10 000)^3 = 4*10^-1 * 10^12 = 4*10^11, which is one of the choices. Is that possible?

I translated from italian, I chose one option it was wrong.
You might be right. I can't be certain but your answer seems correct. Thanks
